Dandy Candy Table Runner- A Quilting 101 Class

September 15th 2:00-5:00pm

Learn the very basics of quilting while making this versatile table runner. We will be working through:

~Reading a quilt pattern

~Cutting fabric with a rotary cutter

~Setting an accurate 1/4" seam on your sewing machine

Pattern will be provided, supply your own choice of fabrics (requirements listed below)

Note on supplies- If you do not have any supplies listed, please do not feel you need to buy tools. We will have cutters, mats, etc for you to try and see what type you like best.

Sewing machine in good working order (Limited number of rental machines are available for $10)

Thread, scissors, pins or clips

Rotary cutter

Optional: Small iron and mat, Small cutting mat (optional)

Fabric: 36 scrappy fabric pieces at least 2.5"x5"

3/8 yard for sashing and binding

You can also make a 3-4 color version with a fat quarter of each
